Apple stopped selling iPhone in online stores in the US and UK, claiming they sold out of stock. It’s the company’s classic strategy before launching a new version. Physical stores and AT&T still have some units, but the message is clear.
The expectation is that they’ll present the iPhone 3G at WWDC in June. It makes perfect sense, since the current iPhone only works on EDGE network, which is quite slow compared to 3G. For those who have iPhone like me, the difference will be significant mainly for browsing and downloads. It’s a matter of weeks to find out if Apple will deliver the improvements everyone is expecting.
